Edinburgh Blues Academy - Online

Founded in January 2019, Edinburgh Blues Academy aims to help musicians of all abilities and ages to improve their blues playing! Taking in all its history and styles, with a focus on group performance, the weekly sessions give musicians a great opportunity to play with like-minded peers.
The tutors are the leading young musicians on the Edinburgh Blues scene, currently including Toby Mottershead (Black Diamond Express), Vid Gobac and Ewan Gibson.
Via Zoom, they'll lead small groups in masterclasses and instrument led sessions based around history and principles of Blues performance and improvisation, as well as larger group sessions to improve your timekeeping, rhythm, harmony and ear training.
Each session will be between 60-90 mins, and run Wednesday from 7pm, following a curriculum of Blues standards and techniques developed by the tutors.
