Blind Boy Paxton

Blind Boy Paxton carries the torch for traditional acoustic blues and has earned a reputation for transporting audiences back to the 1920s and making them wish they could stay there for good.

He’s the most sensational newcomer in the blues since the originals left us, telling stories and jokes, easing audiences into a good time. He mixes it all in the true songster tradition: ragtime, hokum, old time, French reels, Appalachian mountain music and, of course, blues.

Recorded at Teviot Row House at the 2018 Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, this memorable performance is definitely worth revisiting. If you missed it the first time, don’t make the same mistake this time!
