New ways to get involved!

We're delighted to announce a whole new run this autumn of our 3 year-round musical projects!

Edinburgh Jazz School - starts Saturday 21st September, 10am-1pm

8 sessions of quality tuition from 3 leading young scottish jazz musicians

Join Fergus McCreadie and his band of the leading young professionals in Scotland in a new 8 session term of Edinburgh Jazz School.

Improve your playing and have a lot of fun with like-minded peers in the welcoming setting of St Bride's Centre, Edinburgh. 

Each session runs from 10am-1pm, the whole term costs £96, £80 for concessions (students, u18's and over 60's).

That's just £12 a time for 3 hours of quality teaching and group work, learning everything from how to improvise and accompany, to looking at harmony, melody and rhythm. 

Further discounts are available to under 18s and students looking to progress or develop their jazz performance.

Edinburgh Blues Academy - starts Wednesday 2nd October, 7-930pm

8 sessions in everything Blues, from Edinburgh's finest players

Edinburgh Blues Academy aims to help musicians of all abilities and ages to improve their blues playing!

Taking in all its history and styles, with a focus on group performance, the weekly sessions give musicians a great opportunity to start a band and play blues with friends.

The sessions take place in every Wednesday in St Bride's Centre, Dalry. See here for more information!

Gorgie Dalry Jam - starts again Monday 9th September, 7-930pm

Make Music on a Monday!

Come along and have fun and enjoy playing music with others. Music skills and past knowledge need not hold you back.

Since it's inception in January, over 40 people have joined the band, leading to one of the most diverse and open groups for music in Edinburgh. 

Learn new skills, improve your playing and most importantly have fun every monday in this open community ensemble. 

After a fabulous performance at this year's Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival, Mike Kearney and his band of tutors return to continue the fun every Monday at St Brides. Come along, and meet new friends, re-discover the joy in making music, as well as making time for a coffee, cake and a chat.

All standards and instruments welcome, only £2 a session.
