Talent Development Project Leaders - Apply Now!

Talent Development Project Leaders - Apply Now! image

EJBF are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for creative practitioners or industry experts to help create talent development programmes to be deployed in 2021.

We are now inviting artists, creatives and industry experts in the relevant fields to apply for the roles of Project Leaders. The Project Leaders will work closely with EJBF’s Programme Manager, Agnese Daverio, to help shape and manage the company’s talent development programmes.

We’re aiming to develop programmes of activity on two main areas of work listed below:

1. Digital Skills for Musicians

Helping musicians to develop and improve their understanding of digital tools and platforms available to enhance the creation, production, distribution and exhibition of their artistic outputs.

We define digital skills as the ability to effectively use digital tools and channels to create and communicate content, solve problems and be safe and legal online. This could involve training to develop skillsets to live stream from home, video edit, home music production, website design and development and understanding platforms for publishing their work.

2. Business Skills for Musicians

Helping independent musicians to develop and improve their understanding of basic business skills to run their own business.

We define business skills for musicians as the ability to effectively run a successful small business: from project management to self-promotion skills; from fundraising to pitching project ideas; from website design and development; to legal and financial management skills.

Output

The Project Leaders will be responsible for researching and developing the programmes of activity and managing their delivery (NB: we don’t expect for Project Leaders to run the workshops themselves – but to devise a programme of activities, book relevant tutors or specialists, coordinate the programme and help advertise the opportunities and provide support to participants). We’d also like project leaders to research and compile a list of available opportunities that are accessible for free.

The minimum output expected for the programme of activity is six 2-hour sessions for each core topic – to be delivered online (e.g on Zoom) in order to comply with Scottish Government guidelines in relation to COVID19.

The Project Leaders will also be asked to provide feedback post event and help EJBF to collect feedback from participants.

Remuneration

The project leaders will be offered a flat fee of £1,000 each for this work and will be given a budget to manage the project and organise the activities.

It is essential that all applicants have eligibility to work in the UK.

EJBF is an equal opportunities employer and we are committed to promoting diverse, equal and inclusive events and welcome applications from people of all sectors of the community.
