The Festival Club: Saturday 14th
Werkha (Live) + Chambers Street Collective House Band & guests + Andrea Montalto.
The Festival Club promises to keep the music going long after the other venues have closed up shop. Dance the night away to bands and DJs, compare notes on the shows you’ve loved or loathed over a drink or soak up the last glimpses of summer (and the odd jazz fest star) in the glorious open air rooftop bar.
Glaswegian producer Tom A. Leah, A.K.A. Werkha, makes his Festival debut with outstanding vocalist Bryony Jarman-Pinto, keyboardist Fergus McCreadie and drummer Graham Costello. This underground sensation, heavily supported by Gilles Peterson, presents an infectious fusion of Afro-beat, bass, house, jazz, funk and soul.
Our house band (featuring members of the Chambers Street Collective) backs Festival guests dropping-in for a lively, hard blowing jam session, whilst Sicilian DJ Andrea Montalto keeps the dance-floor jumping, with his mix of Disco, Boogie, 80s, Italo, House and 80s Jazz-funk.
